Rev. Erik David Swanson was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in S. Jersey. He is a 2002 graduate of Covenant College on Lookout Mountain, GA (majoring in Philosophy), and he completed a Masters of Divinity at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO, in 2007. Ordained in April 2008, Erik ministered at Redeemer Church of Montclair in NJ for almost 8 years prior to coming to New Life York. Erik began pastoring at New Life in August of 2015. Erik sees his primary gifts being in the areas of preaching/teaching, shepherding, and leading.
Erik and Joy have been married since July 2002. Their three sons, Nathaniel (Nathan), Micah, and Jude, keep life full and active. They live in Windsor Twp and enjoy opening their home to the community. In his free time, Erik loves spending time with family and friends, and he enjoys playing board games, hiking, camping, gardening, running, soccer, and reading.
